Things you should know about hamster

    

      Hamster🐹, are an adorable rodents. Many people likes to adopt because it is cute, small and easy to take care compared to dogs🐶 and cats🐱.If you are new hamster owner or plan to adopt a hamster, I have some knowledge wants to share it out.

     1st, don`t place your cage under the sunlight.

     2nd, don`t place your hamster in the room while the A.C is open, it may cause your hamster to get flu.

     3rd, don`t buy hamster wheel which have gap, it may cause your hamster`s leg stuck in the wheel.

     4th, you can feed them different kinds of foods such as: Fruits (apple, grape and strawberry)
                                                                                               Vegetables (carrot, cucumber, lettuce)
                                                                                               Proteins (cheese, milk and meat)
                                               ⚠ Don`t feed them oily food !

     5th, don`t clean your hamster with water, it may cause them vomit. You can buy sand bath for hamster, they will clean themselves when you put them at sand bath.

     6th, hamster are active during night day. So you doesn`t need to worry if they are inactive daytime 

     7th, Since they are rodent, you will notice that your hamster will eat their own faeces. [This is because caecum(an organ which have cellulase to digest cellulose) is placed after small intestine(which is use to absorb nutrients).So they need to eat their faeces to absorb more nutrients.]

     8th, female hamster don`t have period.

     9th, if you found that there`s a hard piece at the stomach, don`t worry,that is scent glands,which every male hamster have it.


     10th, if your hamster is having babies, remember to take away male hamster from the babies. Because the male hamster will eat their own babies. Also, don`t use your bare hand touch the babies.This will cause babies`s mother can`t recognize their babies (bcz our humans smell is stick on the babies skin). You can only touch them when their fur is fully growing. (except you wear a glove)
